I spent most of the first 18 years of my life in Nanjing, China - a fast-changing city with a population of over 8 million people. These images were mostly collected on the edges of the cities, and in between the cities and the rural.
In project Andante?, I was looking for a way to blur the concepts of location, time, social class, and boundaries between the metropolises and the rural. I tried to find the consistencies and similarities among the human-altered landscapes all over China, a truly existing language of ephemeral and transitions.
